Saheliya supports and promotes the positive mental health and well-being of black, minority ethnic, asylum seeker, refugee and migrant women and girls (12+) in Edinburgh, Glasgow and other parts of Scotland.
Saheliya aims to develop peoples’s self-esteem and confidence and reduce barriers such as isolation and depression, through a range of holistic services. All services are free and confidential.
Using a holistic approach, multi-lingual staff offer a range of services including:
- One to one support
- Complementary therapies
- Group work
- Young Saheliya
- Learning Centre
Young Saheliya services provides support for young BME women and girls from the age of 12-25 years. Services include drop in session, counselling and one to one support.
The Saheliya Learning Centre provides language, employability and personal finance skills for women to compete in the Job Market.
Around the World Childcare is a nursery and creche facility open to all while supporting service users.
