LOOPS Local Opportunities for Older People
LOOPS is Local Opportunities for Older People. LOOPS supports older people to discover what is happening nearby and find ways to enjoy time with other people.
There are four Local Opportunities for Older People (LOOPs) projects in Edinburgh. The networks support people over the age of 65 to link in with the local community, and find new things to learn or do.

A help line is also available and covers all areas of Edinburgh.
Helpline advisors can help you find groups, clubs, social events and services in your local area. LOOPs advisors research activities to combat loneliness and isolation for older people in Edinburgh and encourage you to go to exciting places.
The helpline number is 0131 603 8311. Lines are open from 10 am – 4 pm weekdays.
