Lone Parent Helpline

Lone Parent Helpline is a telephone helpline for lone parents, and those working with lone parents in Scotland. The helpline is managed by One Parent Families Scotland and is free from landlines and most mobiles.

The helpline offers emotional support and information provided by trained workers. Information is available on a range of subjects, including benefit and tax credit entitlement, housing options, legal issues surrounding separation and divorce, further and higher education funding, child maintenance, childcare, and return to employment.  Free publications covering these topics are also available.

Lines are manned by rights workers from Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm.
