Edinburgh Cyrenians Farm Communities
Cyrenians Farm is a small community enterprise located just outside Edinburgh. As well as being home to a community of vulnerable young people, many with backgrounds of homelessness, we are a working organic farm.
The project is a therapeutic community of young adults living and working together to become more settled, to overcome past difficulties and move forward with fresh confidence, self esteem, a plan and skills for the future. Residents are supported into an active and productive lifestyle. As the only organic farm directly associated with a homelessness service in Edinburgh, we can provide real training opportunities and work experience for the residents and service users of Cyrenians through the Enterprise to Employment service.
We grow our own organic produce and sell eggs, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, jams, chutneys and gifts. We also offer corporate team challenges and provide supported training to our residents and external trainees.
We also offer a range of volunteering opportunties for anyone interested in farming.
