Dads Rock Services
Dads Rock support and help dads to engage with their children and build strong lasting relationships. Dads Rock uses music and the arts to encourage self-expression and improve self-esteem in both dads and their children.
Support is available for vulnerable young dads aged 25 and under. This is one-to-one work, supporting them with tangible parenting skills, as well as emotional support.
There is a range of workshops during the year, such as antenatal, first aid, sleeping, seeding and hairstyle. Most of the workshops are for dads and men, however, there are workshops available for mums too.
There is a playgroup on Saturdays in Granton from 10.00 am – 11.30 am, and on Sunday in the city centre from 11.00 am – 12.30 pm. We play, have fun, snack, stories and songs, and go on outings too.
There is no need to sign up, just come along. Open to all dads and kids aged 0 – 5 years.
Dads Rock work in both primary and secondary schools to help improve resilience and improve the relationship dads have with the school. In secondary schools, workshops are available for young people to stimulate conversations about stereotypes, gender equality and the role of dads today.
