Carer Befriending at the Eric Liddell Centre
The Eric Liddell Centre operates a Befriending Project for Carers. Befriending enables Carers a chance to have a break from their caring role, receive support and perhaps try out new activities. This, in turn, can help lessen isolation and promote self-confidence and self- esteem.
Carers and befrienders can meet for a coffee, try a new interest or simply get out of the house and explore their local area. By attending these activities together the befriender can have space just to ‘be themselves,’ re-engage with a favourite past-time or even learn a new skill.
