Cyrenians Mediation Services
Cyrenians offer a range of mediation services. Mediation is where people involved in conflict get help from a neutral third party to resolve their problems together. The mediator never takes sides or imposes solutions, but helps participants reach an agreement and move forward. Mediation improves communication, builds on common ground and is a proven way to resolve conflicts.
Mediation creates a safe space for everyone to have their say. Mediators can help you to:
- Work out what you want to happen
- Find your own solutions to the situation
- Prepare what you want to say
- Get your point across in a constructive way
- Be listened to without interruption
- Put together an agreement of what you want to change
Trained workers support people into mediation, help to identify additional support needs and signpost on to other services as appropriate. They may also provide one-to-one support to individuals, focusing on relationships work and anger-management.
