World Mental Health Day 2019 takes place on 10 October and this year’s theme is suicide and suicide prevention.

In Scotland, 784 people in Scotland died by suicide in 2018 – an increase from 680 in 2017. This devastating reality shows how it is more important than ever to raise awareness of mental health difficulties and the support available to those who are struggling.

As part of World Mental Health Day, we will be releasing our new factsheet on depression and promoting mental health services, projects and events through our monthly newsletter.
