Mental/physical health and human rights: connect through conversation.
Edinburgh Community Voices, LEARN and REH Patients Council are hosting a collective advocacy event bringing in-patients, service users, survivors and people with lived experience and mental health professionals together. There will be a discussion on how can people who experience poor mental health ensure that their rights are recognised, respected and realised in relation to their bodies and the processes of care, treatment and recovery.
This Mental Health Awareness Week event is hosted by Edinburgh Community Voices (AdvoCard), The Royal Edinburgh Hospital Patients Council and Lothian Education and Recovery Network (CAPS).
This event is also supported by the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership/Thrive Edinburgh, the Scottish Independent Advocacy Alliance, the Human Rights Consortium Scotland, the Lothian Bipolar Group, REH Chaplaincy and SAMH
