Broomhouse Health Strategy Group would like to recruit local men to take part in our ‘Paint Up’ project refurbishing the Broomhouse Market Murals.
The project aims to tackle social isolation by bringing volunteers together as a team.
No experience is necessary but it would be helpful if volunteers have an interest in art or DIY. If they do have experience of painting or using tools this will come in handy. Training and support will be provided as well as all equipment and supplies and a light lunch.
The project will take place over 2 weekends – 28th-30th Sept and 12th-14th October (with 26-28 Oct in reserve in the case of really bad weather postponing one of the other two weekends) 1-4pm on Fridays and 11.30am – 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
We would prefer for volunteers to commit to coming to each session but if they have prior commitments on some of the days this is OK.

They will be sent a short volunteer application form and we will talk them through the volunteering (either on the phone or in person). There will also be an open afternoon on Friday 21st September 1pm – 3pm, which is a chance to meet the staff and other volunteers.
