As well as support for young carers, The Broomhouse Centre offers a Young Persons’ Counselling service, and Befriending for young people.

The Counselling service offers one-one counselling to children and young people between the ages of 5 and 17 years old. Children and young people are usually seen once a week for 8 weeks but this can be negotiated in order to meet their need.

Young People’s befriending is for 5-16 year olds who are affected by their parental substance misuse.

Support for Older People

The Beacon Club is a dementia day care project for older people. It is a small group aiming to improve the quality of life for people with what is often a socially isolating condition, as well as support them to continue to live in their own homes for as long as possible.

Befriending is also available through the Vintage Vibes project.
