A&E | All & Equal is a Peer Research project.  This means that the project is led by people who have lived experience of a mental health problem or diagnosis. &

  • Do you have lived experience of a mental health problem or diagnosis?
  • Have you been to A&E / the Emergency Department at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh or St John’s Hospital, Livingston, for whatever reason, in the last five years?
  • Would you be willing to be interviewed about what happened when you were at A&E, whatever your experience?

Interviews will be carried out in November and December All contributions will be anonymous – you will not be identified at any time if you share your experience and we will only use your contributions with your consent.

In the New Year, Advocard will hold group workshops where the research will be used to to come up with new ideas for improving the experience in A&E for people who have lived experience of a mental health problem or diagnosis.
